Terms of Use

Last updated: September 29, 2026 · SECURECORDS is operated by UzBur Tech Solutions, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us").

These terms are an agreement between you and us for your use of SECURECORDS (the website and app). By creating an account or using SECURECORDS you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them; the important points are summarised at the start of each section.

1. Who can use SECURECORDS

You must be at least 18 years old. Each account is for one person, who is responsible for everything done with it. On the Pro plan you may keep records for other people, such as family members, only if you're responsible for them or have their permission.

2. Not medical advice

SECURECORDS is a personal record-keeping tool. It shows values you enter alongside standard clinical reference ranges and published research estimates such as Phenotypic Age. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice. Reference ranges vary between laboratories, and estimates can be wrong. Always discuss your results and any health decision with a qualified health professional. Never use SECURECORDS in an emergency — call your local emergency number.

3. Your encryption keys are your responsibility

Your records are end-to-end encrypted with a key only you can unlock. You're responsible for keeping your password and recovery key safe and private. If you lose both, your records cannot be recovered — by you or by us. We recommend downloading a copy of your data from time to time (Settings → Your data). If you use passkey unlock, anyone who can unlock that device can open your records on it; keep your devices secure.

4. Your content

What you record belongs to you. You give us permission only to store and transmit it in encrypted form so the service works. We can't read it. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to record it.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

Plans. SECURECORDS has a Free plan and paid plans (Plus and Pro). What each plan includes is shown on our Pricing page. Paid plans cost $8 a month or $80 a year for Plus and $15 a month or $150 a year for Pro, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes (such as HST or GST), which are shown at checkout.
Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, and you're charged the price then in effect, until you cancel.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in Profile → Plan → Manage subscription. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to Free. We don't give refunds or credits for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a limited time; if it still fails, the account moves to Free.
Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Limits never lock your data. If you move to a smaller plan or go over a limit, everything you've stored stays readable, editable, downloadable and deletable. Only adding new readings, custom biomarkers or profiles is paused until you're under the limit or upgrade.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

break the law, or record other people's information without the right to do so;
share your account, or access anyone else's;
attack, overload, probe or bypass the security of SECURECORDS, or interfere with other users;
create accounts or send requests with bots or other automated means, or use disposable email addresses to get around our protections;
copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except as the law allows.

7. Suspension and ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings; this permanently deletes it and all your records. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your data. If we ever stop offering SECURECORDS, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data.

8. Changes to the service and to these terms

We improve SECURECORDS over time and may change or remove features. If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using SECURECORDS after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

9. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep SECURECORDS reliable and secure, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that calculations, reference ranges and estimates are accurate or suitable for your situation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data you can't unlock because your password and recovery key were lost. Our total liability for any claim relating to SECURECORDS is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection laws that apply to you, such as Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario, unless consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
